The creative husband-and-wife team behind this relaxed restaurant have been serving up their Australian-Asian-infused fare for an amazing 27 years — longer than many modern marriages. The place has developed an intensely loyal following thanks to its ever-evolving and always interesting menu. Order the famous eggplant chips to snack on while you peruse the entrees $13–$14. It’s unlikely to be on the menu now but we sampled a very good swordfish cutlet marinated in citrus juice and pepper, market price. Most mains are around $30. Ivan and Lissie have recently returned from a trip to Vietnam, so look for a few Southeast Asian influences making their mark on the menu. A degustation, $50–$60 per person, is available for large full-restaurant functions.
