PR watch

June 2008

Regular readers of this column will know that I get a lot of amusement from the grammatical glitches and gaucheries of public relations agents' communiques that drop into my email box from time to time. This week, I found two crackers in one email. First, the description of a venue boasting a chic and funky atmopshere with a sleek and modern feel. Now, we all make mistakes in dashing off emails — typographic dyslexia I call it — but, no, there was a repeated assurance that said establishment has just the right casual and friendly atmopshere to help you unwind. After all that atmopshere, I'd probably need to be taken away in an ambience.
