Farmer Joe

November 2010

If you saw Food Inc. and/or read The Omnivore’s Dilemma, you’ll know about Joel Salatin (pic below) and his fascinating Polyface Farm. If you haven’t read the book or seen the film, you’ve still got time before you hear him speak. On November 23, at  6.30pm, he’ll be appearing at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre (37 Reservoir Street Surry Hills). Tickets are $15 each unless you’re a member of the Sydney Food Fairness Alliance, who are putting on the night; then they’re $10. Joel will be introduced by Kylie Kwong. If you are at all interested in how we can produce food without putting a strain on the planet, Salatin’s the man to listen to. You can buy at the door or book by going to www.milkwoodpermaculture.com And you can learn more about Polyface Farm at  www.polyfacefarms.com
